Luckily, friendly morlocks were on hand. Many thanks to Boris for the assist. Beers will be forthcoming.
My domain was trapped in The Phantom Zone for a few days.
Apologies for magical bouncing email and the like.
I appear to have broken things.

I’ve just managed to fairly painlessly import five years of writing into wordpress. Lots of pictures are missing though, and I’m not sure I have copies of them. Also, the effortless import process brought in all my typepad categories – which has created a librarian’s nightmare in the sidebar.
I realised this month that I will have been working on the web for 10 years, and speaking my brains at /work for 5 of those. No wonder I’m knackered.
I finally got the guts to delve into the depths of my webserver and set up WordPress.
It was surprisingly painless even for an Eloi like myself, once the heavy-lifting of setting up the database had been done for me (thanks James and Stef)
Managed to import the entries from my (non)secret blogger blog I’d been running as a scratchpad during my downtime, and now to try shoehorning in 5 years of Typepad-formatted nonsense.
I’ll stick with the default theme for now, as it’s going to take a while for me to get my head around the thing, but happy to be back!
I’m still trying to rehouse my blog, blackbeltjones.com/work; but the fact remains that ditching five years of writing felt good. The digital baggage gone, I found I really still needed to write my thoughts down. Here is where they will be. Moved!
